Ana Serrano

Born in Los Angeles in 1983, Ana Serrano uses cardboard to create work that elevates cardboard from a throw-away material into something precious.

Inspired by both of the cultural contexts in her life (Mexican and American), she creates sculptural work that is light-hearted and full of vibrant color, even though serious themes, like drug trafficking, are explored. She graduated from Art Center College of Design in Pasadena in 2008, and has since gone on to participate in various exhibitions.
