Tools are near and dear to every maker’s heart: often prized possessions, whether they are obsessively chosen and lovingly cared for, or forgotten about until the moment they are needed, it’s fair to say that without tools there would be precious little tinkering in the world. In addition to our trusty shop tools like hammers, screwdrivers, saws, and the like, we’ll investigate more esoteric and personal tools, starting with the human hand, and delving into sewing and felting needles, henna applicators, soldering and clothes irons, kitchen utensils, conductive paint, and more!
We are also privileged to have Tim Hunkin with us this month, who is a veritable authority on making, explaining, and taking apart tools (as he’s done here, for example), so keep up with our blog to see what we’ll get up to.
And, of course, don’t miss our extended celebration of everything tool-centric during our Open MAKE: Tools event, on March 17th!
